Consciously saying ‘no’ - as opposed to just saying ‘no’ - has several benefits on a personal and organisational level.
I believe that when we get clear on our values, our wants, and our needs, we are able to take conscious choices and stand firm in our decisions and to clearly communicate what we want and what we stand for.

Who do I really want to be? What do I really need? If you are grappling with those questions, you’re already a step ahead! Most of the time, we don’t even ask these questions and just operate on autopilot and unconscious “should” rules that we have made up based on societal expectations and/or parental upbringing and role-modelling.
